Bukky Shonibare is a strategic team leader of the Bring Back our Girls Movement from Abuja, Nigeria. Through her work with Bring Back our Girls and the Light Family Empowerment Foundation, Bukky is an advocate for expanding opportunities for women and girls all across Africa.

Bukky spent 6 weeks at the Presidential Precinct as a Mandela Washington Fellow. The Mandela Washington Fellowship is the flagship program of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), which empowers young people through academic coursework, leadership training, and networking.
